This lovely vintage French earthenware bowl is probably from the early decades of the 20th century. It has a lovely rustic look with its gorgeous patina and rich brown earthy colour. These rustic bowls were used in many different ways in a French country kitchen. Most often they were used to make confit which was a way of preserving meat or of course had many other uses in a country kitchen. This would be beautiful as a display piece or to actually use!
